DIY Photo Albums?

Hey everyone. FH and I need to start making appts. to look at photographers soon. I have read on here that some brides are saving $ by getting the pics on a CD and making their own albums. I have seen what some people say photography packages cost and it seems way out of our budget. Can anyone tell me how difficult/expensive it is to make your own albums? Thanks!

Not very difficult with the programs out there-Picaboo is my favorite next to BLUrb.com and photoworks. you can make very basic books that look awesome very simply. I did our original wedding album through Picaboo-its in my album. Most of those are layouts from their program. A few i did on my own.

If you want it to be fully customized like what a professional photograpger would do, the programs are not designed for that. But you will get a beautiful book anyway.

I tend to make all my layouts from scratch because I am good at it in photoshop, but I have used the pre-made ones as well adn they're great.

i have no idea how expensive she is, but this is an 07 bride who learned how to make albums herself and now does it as a side business....i personally didnt want the big bridal album from the photograher they're just not my style, so i had planned on doing the mypublisher.com one but i might check this girl out to when the time comes.
