I am exhuasted. This is probably an easy project, but as some of you may know, FH & I just aren't the crafty types. It was an adventure to say the least. Getting the frames just right...and getting them to STICK (yes we used glue because the screws kept splitting the frames)....and what probably took way too long for me was getting the fabric over the top. Fun!
So...what do you think? I'll probably use the fabric for the lazy susan I got...or I might just paint it silver. I need to neaten this thing up a bit...some of the glue is showing. It's just a miracle I got through it at all!
One side of the frame I could NOT get them to stick- that's why my hand is in the pic! More pics in DIY Photocube album The pic to the right of me in the red shirt...that was our first game together! Here's the top...

Tara it came out awesome!!!!! I love the fabric!! and you just made me realize that there's no need for me to do one picture per side, doing a collage might actually make things easier for me, b/c then I won't have to make as many decisions when I'm narrowing it down!! GREAT job my little uncrafty friend!!

Aww thanks Helen...let me know if you need any help with a collage (and you know I was in the same boat having trouble choosing!)....I had no idea how to do it until Yesenia told me. It was so easy to do in PowerPoint!
My mom says 'Dont you think it's tacky? Or is that what people do these days?' and mentioned the bag you walk around with.
Thanks everyone - it's a work in progress and definitely needs cleaning up!
My new question is - IS it tacky? My sister - who's really big on helping me design everything- even thinks sometimes the DIY goes too far....this is a bad thing to say to me- someone who cares TOO much what people think!

First off, it looks great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I totally do not think it's tacky and quite frankly, people will STILL give you cards in your hands - just have your FH or yourself put them in the cardbox... and no offense to your mom, and I know it's an old tradition, but isn't walking around with a huge bag that is MEANT for cards the same thing??? if not more obvious? Like 'heyyyy, thanks for coming! Don't you see this huge bag hanging from my wrist? Its to put YOUR card in, so where is it???'

Secondly, I'm happy to have helped!!! The collage really did come out great!

One thing - no lazy susan? Doing that next?
I think I'm going to Gorilla Glue my lazy susan to the photocube - screwing it on is going to be a biotch!
