I posted this on the DIY forum as well...figured I would give it a shot here too!!

I am going to attempt to DIY my wedding programs...I bought some cardstock from Michael's but I am clueless right now how to go about cutting it down. I want a program that is 5x7 booklet style so the paper I have is 12x12 what do I cut it down to?!?!? I know this may sound like a simple question to some who are skilled at this or maybe not even but I am sooo stumped and clueless as to what to do or how to even begin!! Any help would be soooo appreciated!

Unfortunately you can't make a 5 x 7 booklet out of 12 x 12 paper.. you would need 10 x 14 and then fold it in half (and you're short by 2' on one side). Maybe you can do a 4 x 6 booklet? If so, you'd leave on length as is and then the other you'd cut down to 8' and then again fold it in half. HTHs!

Thank you it gives me a start and i feel stupid for asking a question like this but I really just don't know to start them!

Don't feel stupid at all, it's a valid question. Whatevevr size programs you want you have to double the amount. Good luck with them!
