Re: DIY Projects Brides.....Where you at?

I have always been crafty and after looking at some of the DIY brides on here, it got me into it... So I have been making alot of stuff on my own!!

So far I've done for my engagement party:
-My card box
-Invitations
-Centerpieces
-Bridesmaid Cards

and I'm sure I'll have more to do before the party

Martha Stewart website is a huge inspiration. Just browsing pics online also helps. I DIYed my STDs and they came out great. Yesterday I started on my DIY aisle runner. I'm pleased as punch with the way it's coming out!!

Here's a pic so far!

ETA: We'll also be DIYing menus, programs, table numbers, invites (with an invite kit from Michael's) a scrapbook/guesbtook (to go with the photobooth), candy buffet, OOT bags, and lots of other things. I have way too much on my plate at this point. LOL!

I am not very DIY, only because I am lazy...but I think I am going to try to do pew bows like these.

Has anyone attempted to make their own tulle pew bows and can offer some pointers?

Thinking of maybe attempting a card box and table number votives.

Re: DIY Projects Brides.....Where you at?

I'm planning on making programs (fan style), tissue poms (instead of pew bows), escort cards (wine corks with a paper butterfly), possibly candles wrapped in paper with butterfly punch outs (it's in the current martha stewart weddings but they used leaves, can't find a pic on their site), and table numbers (types of wine with descriptions). Lots to do but I have a lot of time and my mom is crafty too! Check out the knot and martha stewart weddings sites. That's where I got my ideas from. Oh, and if you look on etsy, a lot of that stuff you can do yourself too, just google search for instructions on whatever you want to make.
