DIY Ribbon Wands

have any of you ladies made your own ribbon wands??? i'm really not interested in getting the personalized ones, just ribbon in my colors.....just curious if it would be cheaper to make them myself, or cough up the 100 bucks to buy them.....TIA!

i dont get it .. those dowels have a hole on top to put ribbon through to tie ?

No, they dont have a hole. I think you just tie the ribbon on and make sure its secure with hot glue

that would make me nuts! i am going to have to buy them but have not found a site with them that i LOVE.

there has to be a stick out there with a loop at the end?
i'd rather tie and no glue..

I made them and secured with hot glue and then those little squishy white caps you see on metal shelves (find them at Home Depot). They really weren't too bad to make. I did a little every night (made 92 in all).
I bought the ribbon at MJ Trim in NYC. They have good prices on bulk ribbon on their website.

It's what some brides use instead of rose petals or bubbles after ceremony. Basically a stick with ribbons on it for guests to wave in their air as you come out of the ceremony.

exactly! Especially made for girls whose church doesn't allow them to use anything else haha
