what is a DIY seating chart?
Poor mans seating chart....seat up a bunch of paper plates (because they are round like the tables) and write everyones names on the little flag post its. Then you can stick the flags on the plates and move them around as needed! It should cost about $4.00
Doesnt the hall ususally give you like one sheet of paper with the tableson it and you fill it in?
yea you can move the post its around because this one cant sit with that one and you want all the tables to be full it works awesome

this may sound like a lot of work but it worked out wonderfully. Got the idea from a bridal mag. I used paper plates to represent each table and laid them out as they would be on the room floor. I thien wrote each couple name on a thin post it and was then able to move the names from plate to plate as I decided where to seat them! It worked great as we changed things a lot. I gave certain plates to my mom and dh 's mom so they could handle family while me and dh did our friends! I had tried online programs but not being able to see everyone at once in real life form was quite annoying to us so this worked perfectly!
