DIY STD Flipbook - Added Pics
I don't have a pic - but would be happy to post one if anyone is interested. Everyone loved our STD's and I wanted to share the idea.
We went to the Museum of the Moving Image in Astoria Queens (we went early to avoid crowds). They have a fun activity that allows you create a black and white flipbook. We had lots of fun creating several different flipbooks - one with us kissing, one with us doing the horah, one with us pushing each other, etc. It costs $3 to take home each print (three sheets that consist of about 40 small frames). We had the sheets copied and then spent lots of time cutting the frames.
In the end - we had lots of small flipbooks, each with a different title. I put cute little covers with ribbon (again, if anyone is interested, I could tell you the actual binding process). We called them 'Save the Date FlipBook' and then put cute little titles - such as 'Dizzy', 'The Kiss', etc. I put them in small organza bags with some confetti and then sent them out.
Anway - sorry this is so long - just wanted to share. If anyone wants some pics, I can post them over the weekend.
I'm adding pics - but it's hard to get a good sense of the little flip book because it's more of an action book. The first frames have FH and I in the corner and then we move in toward the kiss. If you flip the book quickly it looks like we're moving in for a kiss. We have lots of different routines - the kiss is our favorite! Enjoy!
