Theres a couple of beach themed std's i saw, hold on ill post in a few mins so i can save them first...Then you can work off of that and see who has the best idea to be able to do it.

Did you look at magnetqueen, or do you have a beach picture that you love and you can use that and add the text to it

Re: DIY STD's

this is a crappy version of what i typed on the diy thread..

Yup!, You can buy the magnet paper at staples, You get 4 sheets of the paper for $12. I made them small enough where i can fit exactly 8 on each of them, so thats a total of 48 magnets. I did use Microsoft Word. For the calendar I made a table and formated the lines. It can be a pain though because some of the text boxes don't want to go where you want them. That's why the calendar is over our faces.

Give me a lil while.. fh cooked and i have to go eat.. i'll come back and fix it up.. ask me whats not clear about it.

I thought i would need seperate pieces, and thats what i bought at first. But FHs mom told me that staples sells magnet paper..

Heres better directions

Materials: Magnet paper (can be bought at
staples-4 sheets for $12)
Picture to be set as background
TIME AND PATIENCE

1. I used Microsoft Word which made it really difficult.
2. Copy and paste the picture you want to use
3. Resize it to the size you would like the actual magnet to be.
4. Right click and select format picture. Set the layout of the picture to be sent to back, so that the text shows up in front of the picture.
5. Copy and paste the picture 7 more times that way you have the same size magnet and you can fit 8 magnets on one paper to save you money.
6. Make sure you have the toolbar for drawing so you can use textboxes
7. I used the textboxes for the Save the date title, the website, the Date, and the Information box.
8. Right click and set the boxes to be in front of background.
9. Again copy and past 7 other times to put onto the other magnets.
10. Make a table if you want the calendar on the magnet. Again set the table to be in front of background and copy another 7 times
11. You may have to adjust the margins so that nothing gets cut off and this may cause you to have to adjust the magnets... i had to do this Many many times!!!
12. This is the way i wanted my magnets to look, but you may have your own vision, but thats what i essentially did and you can alter it.
13. Print!!!
14. Have fun cutting them!!!

Hope that helps!!!
