I would put them in the corner somewhere so it doesn't ruin those amazing paintings. You are so talented.
Gorgeous! I think big numbers might work better than small ones ... if they are big and in the center (like taking up 75% of the square) it may look more like a cohesive thing than if there were two little numbers in the center - do you know what I mean?

Why not put a sticker of the number on it somewhere,, that way you can remove it later. Somethink like a vinyl sicker![]()

those are so pretty. Can you put the number off to the side? Not painted on what you did but something over it like a small wooden painted # so that someone can take it as a favor and frame it? Whew finally got that out
