So everytime I go to michaels, they don't have vellum. Can I use a different type of paper? and if so, which one? What is vellum paper?

Re: DIY unity candle question.........
Vellum paper is the kind of see-through tissue looking paper. Its as thick as regular paper. They usually sell it in single sheets. Thats how I bought mine, not in a package

I used a hot glue gun. If you end up using that be careful b/c the hot glue can melt the candle.!!

Re: DIY unity candle question.........
vellum looks like frosted paper...its kinda see through. AC moore def. has it in the loose paper section.
and you can use double sided scrapbook tape to hold it on the candle. the you can cover the tape marks with ribbon

They actually sell Vellum runner. It is like a tape, but doesnt show on vellum. You attach the ends together and wont have any bumps! Michaels and ac moore have it by the scrapbooking stuff! Good luck!
its called vellum adhesive runner, looks like the white out tape, blue container! just found mine...

Those should be ok, but with a paper that thin, they may give you bumps!
