So everytime I go to michaels, they don't have vellum. Can I use a different type of paper? and if so, which one? What is vellum paper?

vellum is a light weight, almost see-through paper. I don't know if you can use something other than vellum, but you can order vellum online from scrapbooking websites or you may try joann's in their scrapbooking section.

Try AC Moore or Staples. Look for it online. It's like an almost see though paper.. it's cloudy looking and printable. You can do colored paper if you want.. but vellum would look much better. Usually it's bought in a package.. so anyone who already purchased it should have extra. I will be buying them.. I don't know when exactly.. but when I do.. if you need some.. send me your address and I'll mail it to you if you'd like.

Don't know if you already made it yet lol. I used wide ribbon for mine and a thinner width of the same color ribbon for the tapers. Pics are in my album
