dizzy dizzy update

so the dr sent me to the optomistrist so i went today.

he said the nerves in my eyes are large which could just mean i was born with it like that. but he thinks i have glacoma (sp?) so i have to go back in 2 weeks for some eye tests.

i almost freaked out. bc they dont do the puff of air glacoma test. they put drops in your eyes to numb them, and then poke your eye with something. i wanted to cry lolol

but the dr said there is no reason for me to be getting headaches or dizzyness from my eyes. my glasses give me 20/20 vision. so it looks like more tests. now for my dumb eyes AND the dizzyness. grrrr

you should be going to an Ophthomologist. Optometrist are great, but a glaucoma specialist would be the good person to see. I work for an eye MD myself. Most of our glaucoma suspects are seeing the MD. Some people are born with the nerves looking that way, which the tests can confirm. I would say to get a visual field test done twice a year to monitor it. By the third year, if there isn't any changes, then you most likely were born that way. If the glasses are correcting you to 20/20 and they haven't found anything else, i would see a neurologist. Good luck!

oooo cassie!!! you poor thing.. i even hate the PUFF in the eye.. so I really feel your pain for going through that!!!! I am a fellow 'dizzy' spell chick.. so you can vent to me and we can share our dizzzy stories lol

the dizzy spells are funny especially when i get them at work and almost trip over my feet or walk into the door. my assistant thinks its hysterical.

they are doing 2 tests in 2 weeks. i dunno what they are. said one will take 20 mins and the other 10. and my pupils will need to be dilated for one of them.

he said i'm at #23 so i'm suspect for it, but he wants to test. the dr. is actually a glaucoma specialist. or at least thats what it says on their website.

i've been to a neurologist for headaches back in june and he put me on prednisone and said ok thats enough and didn't even want to follow up so i dont like him lol. i go back to my regular doctor in a week and i'm sure shes gonna send me back to him or just do a ctscan and/or mri. we shall see. i am feeling alil better though. the medicine is defiantly working.
