I have an appointment with a DJ tonight. What kind of questions should I ask???

wat packages do they have? are there any specials? is there any way you can lower the price your on a budget (seem like u really need it)? Can song requests b made? What type of music is he gonna bring? how many people will be there from the company? do they have entertainment things such and sunglasses and sombreros and stuff which are fun? do they have special lighitng?? how long do they stay for? Do they have screens for music videos or light effects?

How many DJ’s do you have on staff? If I book, how many people will be at my wedding?
Can I see DJ’s live or on video?
Which of these DJ’s are available for my date? Can we meet them before booking? If not, when can we meet them?
Have the available DJ(s) played at my reception hall before? If so, how often?
Are you licensed/insured?
What time will they arrive to setup?
How many hours of coverage are included? Is the CH additional (how long etc)?
Can we go overtime? If so, how much would that cost?
Will there be breaks? How many and for how long?
Is an MC included? If not, how much additional?
Do you have bi-lingual MC’s?
Can your DJ’s play comprehensive _______ (enter type of music here) music in addition to slow/dance/r&b/etc? VERY IMPORTANT
What will the DJ(s) wear?
Is there anything that we or the reception hall will need to provide? (i.e., electrical cords etc)
What happens if my DJ is sick the day of?
What happens if there’s a problem with the equipment? Backup equipment?
Can we purchase services a la carte? Or only via a package?
What type of equipment does the DJ use?
Are give-aways included? If not, how much additional?
Can you do one/two plasma tv’s for pictures? If so, do you provide the photog for this and how much is it additional?
What type of lighting features can we add to the package and how much do they cost?
Do you also offer live entertainment? If so, what type of live entertainment and how much additional?
Can you do a GOBO for us with our custom monogram?
Is there a sampler CD/Video that I can review?

VERY IMPORTANT: Will the DJs engage in alcohol consumption? Want contract to state that DJs will NOT drink alcohol during my wedding.

What is the cancellation policy, just in case? Will we get the deposit back? (MUST BE IN WRITING!)
