DJ?

DJ?

has anyone ever had a DJ, MC, Singer package?

how does that work? does the DJ just play melodies while the singer fills in the words?

Re: DJ?

my DJ offers certain extras like a Sinatra impersonator ... i don't know the details but i assume the guy only sings for an hour or so (as opposed to singing during the entire reception).

in this case, the DJ himself would play background music while the singer sings.

i hope that answers your question (at least partially)

yea, that def helps! i'm still trying to decide between a dj and a band... but due to the fact that i'm budgeting... i might just end up with a dj...

thoughts? i feel like ppl always think a dj at a wedding is tacky...

I dont think a DJ is tacky - it's a matter of preference. Some people don't like bands b/c they might not sound like the actual song.

I never minded DJ's until I saw a band at my FSIL's wedding and they were amazing so now i'm working on booking a band.

But i do agree - a DJ is DEF a lot less than a DJ - def something to think about

DJs at weddings are def not tacky ... as the other poster said, it's a matter of preference

FH, for example, is very very VERY picky about music so if we had a band and they messed up even a little, it'd drive him crazy as you can assume, we chose a DJ

but we're also hiring a percussionist so it'll be a bit 'fancier' than just a DJ
