Posted this on BHB, but figured I would try here also.
FH and I are meeting with LI Sound tomorrow and I was just wondering what kind of questions you ask a DJ. I was also wondering if anyone has any pricing info for LI Sound. Specifically how much extra uplighting usually is. Thanks!

Re: DJ
When I was meeting with DJs I did not have any specific questions for them. It was more about figuring out their style and whether it worked with what you were looking for. When we met with Variety Music they had a short video we were able to see which was helpful. I also asked them to go over a normal night for them.

I would also ask them when they are having a demonstration so that you can actually see them in person too

Re: DJ
definatly what they said... let them go through their speach and have them sell you! Decide if you want them to do a screen w/ pics, ask about giveaways as a throwin if you want, ask about the different lighting and ask to see the actual lights - when i saw some lights i was like ewww so cheap looking and others i was like thats so cool and modern. Ask about back up equiptment in case a speaker blows and if you can meet your MC before booking w/ them
Good luck!
