I just got a quote for $1500 for a dj. Is this typical? High? Low?

I got quotes between 1000 and 2100 for the starting packages of DJ/MC. so your quote is in there. That's a good quote for a reputable DJ

Is that just for a DJ (if so I feel it is a tad high). If there are other things added then it is probably good

Depends on the DJ, but if that;s just the DJ that's high...
We've got quotes from $800-$2100! If you want a reputable DJ at a lower price you can certainly get it for around $1000 or even lower if you get discounts from them.![]()

Were paying around $1300 for everything from having a DJ & MC, lights, plasmas, zap shots, CH music, party giveaways...

It depends - what are you getting? Most places for JUST an MC and DJ were like 750-1000. Once you start adding on though prices increase obvi...whats in your package?

$1500 was for just the dj/emcee. Nothing else included (no lights, video,etc). It sounded high to me, but it's been nearly a decade since I last priced a dj.

that sounds average for a basic package... all of the DJ's we looked at started off at that price range.
