Has anyone used him? He's not the typical wedding DJ with the lights and all that. He used to work at clubs in NYC and now does weddings. I don't want all the usual wedding stuff like chicken dance and electric slide. Call me bridezilla but I HATE that stuff!
I saw him at a wedding recently, and the music was fantastic, and everyone was on the dance floor, but his MC'ing was horrendous....there was no energy when he announced the bridal party, or cake cutting, and those other formalities. I think if you have him, ask him about MC'ing - even with the least bit of interaction...the basics need to be covered.

I agree - there will be VERY little of him talking....i just wanted amazing music & someone not 'showy'...
I'm using Absolute Entertainment, I felt the same way. No electric slide, chicken dance, or any ocrny stuff like that. Absolute is not too 'Showy' either. Definitely look into them, I booked Jeff as my MC.
I had contacted DJ Gaza and when I told him my wedding date he told me that another couple was interested in the date and he will honor thier wants first- if they did not book with him in 5 days THEN and ONLY then would he contact me... which is fine and admirable that is not first come first serve- BUT he said in a snotty tone 'You are not the only bride that day' but I do have 2 others DJ's if they book me.. I thought that was snotty and booked with someone I felt more comfortable with.
He wasn't available my date but I must say he was the sweetest person to me. He sent me a list that I can use when looking into other DJ's. (questions to ask), which he didn't have to do since I wasn't booking with him. I heard he is amazing with the music though.
So far I've enjoyed each one of my interactions with him. I like the idea of someone from our family or bridal party doing the bulk of the announcements anyway.
i'm glad to see this thread. i'm debating hiring him and am supposed to meet with him soon. i'll be happy as long as the music's great and he's not an ***.
