does anyone have a pic from their wedding.. or any wedding.. recently.. of people wearing hats or leis or sunglasses.. basically the DJ giveaways? my fiance doesnt believe that people have the dj giving things away at weddings these days.. and i want to prove him wrong.. any help is appreciated haha.. thanks!

i haven't been to any weddings that have done this.
it is more traditionally done at Sweet 16's or Bar/Bat Mitzvahs.
but who cares...haha..you can make your own standard at your own wedding.

we didnt do give-aways. we felt that was more for sweet 16's and bar/bat mitzvahs, not weddings

2 years ago my fsil got married, she had give aways i'll try to find some pics. they had sunglasses, blow up guitars and leis.....seems like everyone had a good time with them. not sure yet if we are having them

I had them at my wedding!!! I know some people think it isn't appropriate at a wedding but our guests all seemed to really enjoy them!!!!!!!
ETS: We had leis, hats, and maracas that I got from Party City and the DJ handed out. We also had a beach ball that was tossed around for awhile, but I don't have any pics of that.
These are all my lovely LIW ladies!! I also have a pic of me singing into a maraca as if it was a microphone, but I don't have it scanned.

Our DJ gave away leis, straw hats, glow-in-the-dark necklaces, wands with stringy ends, morrocas, and sunglasses.
i had a band... so no giveaways... but my MOH had a Dj and she did not have giveaways, all the weddings I Have been to recently with Djs have not had giveaways

I'm glad to see this thread. I was going to start one. I met w/ my DJ this weekend and he asked if we wanted them. I thought (think) it's super cheesy, but he made a good point that it gets people up and dancing. FH & I are more exciting to have our guests have a good time. So, I'll have to put away my idea of give aways being cheesy so my guests can have fun. My DJ offers lei's, derby hats up to $50 worth (included in our package).
