We are starting to look for a dj and would really really appreciate suggestions. I am not too worried about a dj who can get people out on the dance floor, because with our friends and family I really don't think that will be much of a problem, but I would like one who can be fun...However, most important to us is a DJ who will let us pick most of our own music...and actually play the songs we request. I have read some posts about djs who didn't disregarded the must play lists etc....and was wondering if anyone has been to a wedding or has used a dj for their e party that they may be able to reccommend. I have the exact same philosophy about picking music. I found DJ Chris who is so flexible and personable. I spoke to a million DJ's and some of them had attitudes when I asked them about that. In the end, we will prob give him the list and ask him to supplement it. Because of his approach to our needs, I trust him implicitly.

I haven't actually met with him yet, but I know Music by Michael has an interactive website where you get to pick all of your songlists and I heard there's even a 'do not play under penalty of death' list. I definitely plan on meeting with him!

I am using Ralph from Hi-Energy and his prices are great and he gave me about three sheets of paper to list all the music I want played at the wedding.

My boyfriend (and I) personally know one of the MC/Djs from fantasy entertainment. They did my friends wedding in October at the North Ritz club and everybody seemed pleased. People were up and dancing and btw...no cheesy chicken dances. Im not quite sure of prices though! They have a website but Im not sure what it is...
