I am planning my wedding from out of state and music has been difficult to find from here. We orginally wanted a band, but this is proving out of our price range. Now we are looking for DJ's. I am having lots of trouble finding a DJ that is not CHEESY. Any suggestions?

I highly recommend Vinny from High Voltage. Many ladies on this site have used him. Do a search and you'll see that he has a good reputation.

We used Vinny with High Voltage Sounds. He was not cheesy and did an excellent job.

We are using DanceJock. My dad has seen them a couple of times and raves about them. we went to check them out and booked the next day!
I used Frankie from Tommy Tunes. I also have seen him at 5 other weddings since our wedding because we recommended him.

I also used Tommy Tunes (6/18/2005) and they were fabulous! We used Joe E and the floor was packed all night. Their selection of music and mixing was perfect.

I recommend Fantasy Music. I'm in NYC and they're in LI and even though I'm only an hour's drive away, they told me not to even worry about having to drive out to see them all the time, they e-mail or fax contracts, and have worked with brides/grooms who live out of state. They have a website that you can sign into and set up the playlist, etc. They're open from 11am until 9pm I think, and they are really nice people! www.fantasymusic.com

I am using Vinnie from High Voltage Sound.....upon first meeting with him my FI and I both knew he was going to be our DJ. We didn't even look into any one else. After all of the rave reviews on here, that did it for us
