any recommendations on a good DJ/MC? also, what is a reasonable price? next to the RH & gown i think this is the most important vendor. The music can make or break a party. I heard Body Rock is good... Tommy Tunes..

We picked In the Mood DJ. We've seen Dennis (our MC) at weddings and loved him. We know our DJ 10+ years, there is a reason he has been a DJ that long. To boot we know the owner and he gave us a great deal!!!

Starlight Express We met with Vinny at Starlight, he's the owner. He showed us a bunch of videos of their whole crew in action which was very important to us. They got absolutely everyone up to dance and just watching their video I was getting so amped up! Their setup is the most high-tech I've seen out there, and the price was excellent for what we got. We checked out 5 other DJ's before we met with Vinny at Starlight and we booked with him right on the spot!

I met with Xtreme sounds, LI Sound, FM Entertainment, Get in Tune, Bravura, and Spin Around Sound. Everyone was awesome but unfortunately you can only book one! I chose SAS.

I am not from LI so I am not familiar with the LI vendors. My family has been using DJ Serg Entertainment for many years. They are very good.
DJ Serg has also worked at many venues in the city. Check out their website.
We are using Music by Michael-he is what he calls a PC DJ-he uses a laptop and all music is downloaded-It is top quality and the best part is you get your own access into his sytem and can download any song you want-then you choose if you definately want it played(which he will then absolutely-no matter what play it) prefer its played (if it fits in with the crowd he will play it) or don't want it played (no matter what it will not be played)! He is a low key, not in your face guy and super sweet!

Check out Bill from Let Us Entertain You. Him & Frank are great.
They are really good.....They play every type of music and really get the crowd going. They are at a lot of the bars in NYC if you want to check them out first. Talk to Tricia..she's great
