I trust your opinions! We are looking for a great DJ who keeps the crowd on the floor, but doesn't steal the show!
Thanks!

Re: DJ Help - Again
I know the owner of Parties Alive and although I haven't seen him at a party, I have seen him DJ and I really think he's good. I personally thought that Get In Tune was too involved in the party and could steal your show, although they did tell us it would be as much or as little as we wanted. I think Music by Michael would be a little more low key from what I know about him.

Re: DJ Help - Again
I'm using Music by Michael - from my experience with him so far & from what I've heard, I think he is the perfect happy medium - keeps the crowd going yet is not the 'focus' of the wedding. He goes by do-not play lists and play lists so that you have a lot of control over that aspect...IMO, he is a very classy dj - I don't know much about the others though so I can't make any comparisons. Hope that helps! :)
Good luck!!

We are using Dash of class. Once you meet with them you won't want to use anyone else.

Re: DJ Help - Again
FH and I chose Get in Tune and believe me, if I felt that were stealing the show, I wouldn't have chosen them. It's MY day! We compared them to 2 other DJ companies and saw all 3 of them twice. I knew from the first show that GIT would be IT...but I had to check it out for a second time. They will definitely keep your guests on the dance floor all night long! I can't wait! Good Luck and you can FM me if you need any help!

Re: DJ Help - Again
I used Parties Alive for my engagement party. We only had a DJ (no mc) because we only wanted someone to play music and not talk at all. They did a great job and I recommend them. If we weren't going with Tommys Tunes I would use them.

Re: DJ Help - Again
Tommy's Tunes is great and the MC Joey is wonderful, in fact, Jamie Lynn Sigler ( from the sopranos) interviewed all of the MCs at Tommys Tunes and chose him for her wedding.

Re: DJ Help - Again
WE're using Variety Music - Ray is the owner and a great MC. - not at all intrusive or tacky - Actually he did my Sweet 16 !! - He also did my cousin's wedding 7 years ago, and hers was by far the most fun I ever had at a wedding ! - His prices are very reasonable, and he is EXTREMELY accomodating to how YOU want the day to go -
