Hello Ladies, since most of you had your weddings already, Congrats! I have a question... i went to my first dj appointment and i thought it was a bit pricey, the package they showed me had mini intelligent lighting and a fog machine... do i need that? what did you girls have? any suggestions or recommendations... thank you in advance

no, you don't need all the extras. We used Tommy Tunes and had a DJ & MC and it was perfection. Personally some of the extras like fog machines and such make it look like a Sweet 16 to me.

You dont NEED the extras, you can have a great party with out them. But if you WANT the extras and can afford them then I say go for it.
I had the intelligent lighting and I LOVED the way it looked when we had our first dance and the way the room looked!!
My sister had neither and her party was still fantastic.
i also thought the same thing about the fog machine... sweet 16ish... but i havent been to many weddings so i really dont know

We had lighting (nothing fancy... IMO you don't need anything crazy), but didn't have the fog... not into that.
We got a great price with Feel The Vibe and they were amazing! They played the perfect mix of music and the DJ and MC have the best personalities.
We also had a live drummer and sax player... and it was still under $2k.

You don't need the extra but if you can afford it then I say go for it. We didn't get the extras just a basic package and everyone still had a great time and I have some awesome pics of the dance floor.
