DJ info.....

I hired my dj - but I was just wondering if the prices I got are standard...

Just dj & mc for 4 hour reception was $1600

We're adding a lot of different things - percussion, vocalist, plasmas, and stuff - charging us al la carte for that

But, is $1600 standard?

Hmm, that sounds about right. One of the guys at my job is getting married in October and he is paying $4,000 !!! We are paying just under $2000, but that's because we got an 'off season' discount!

Yeah, sounds like a good price for what you are getting, plasmas and percussionist and all! Is it a LIW vendor?

Sounds about right. We're doing a DJ and MC for the 4hr reception plus CH, plus some extra lights for about the same price.

OHH- OK

That is probably standard, but you may be able to get it cheaper if you negotiate. Did you already sign the contract? Who is it (if you dont mind saying)

ETA- if you already booked, maybe you can get a deal on all of the other add ons.

Just the DJ and MC for 4 hours is a little bit high. I received price quotes from 4 vendors for a DJ and MC for 5 hours and the highest quote was for $1500.

im using xtreme sounds and i got 1250 for dj and MC 4 hour reception and cocktail hour

I'm using In The Mixx for ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. Just one DJ/MC but the whole thing was only 895.

FM Entertainment was 795 for the same thing.
