Yeah, i saw that episode. Basically each hall has a strict requirement that all vendors, most especially the DJ, has to adhere to. The hall does not want to be liable in case something goes wrong with their equipment, etc.
As far as the Bridezilla episode, their DJ didn't have the proper requirements and was avoiding her.
It's really important to follow up on that prior to the wedding - she didn't give enough time and waited to the last minute.
