Dj is flaking on me need 2 get another one asap

I need help & a sedative. I thought I had a DJ, but it has been over three weeks & the phone tag with the dj is ridiculous, I figure it isn’t a good sign. I am worried & figured I need to get a great dj now before it is too late. I want a dj that can play a good mix, of everything from latin to pop, & everything in between. I would have loved a percussionist but worry that it is out of my budget realm (how much are others paying for this?) (I want to keep things around or below 2k if possible. You girls are incredible & so organized so I figured I would ask instead of pulling all my hair out.

recommendations? Prices? sedative? (ok they last one i am kidding. kind of)

charles henry is a fantastic DJ, he is a personal friend of mine as well, and he is so professional he will take care of you..

For DJ, basic lighting and percussionist - you're looking at average $2K. Some DJs are more, some less....

Elegancia Entertainment. they played an AMAZING mix of music and we added the percussionist. you can see pics of the lighting i added with them as well in my review.

seriously the GREATEST vendor we had on our wedding day was them---everyone said that they had never been to a wedding with such a great DJ

wow, sounds great. If your do not mind ballpark wise how much do they run. FH is bugging about cost so I am trying to shield him from reality. haha

you are right, phone tag for 3 weeks is not a good sign~we are using classiesounds incase you want to check them out (classiesounds.com), the percussionist add on was around 700 or so...

Thanks again. I knew I had to get another dj, if it is this bad to just catch up with him & I am not even stressed now. I can only imagine how upset I would be near the wedding if that happened.
So I am off to look at these suggestions.

Definitely check out DJ Gaza. He’s charging us just under 1500

Fusion DL--they are are awesome---i'm getting
DJ (who can spin records too,not just pop in CD's)
Percussionist
Sax player
Flute player
and a Sound Engineer (he mixes the solo parts so the live pieces are acutully playing the song not just 'playing over the music'
