So I went to see a DJ last night with FH and we can't decide on whether or not to go with a light show.
I want things to be elegant but at the same time I think the lighting might add a little to the room?
So confused!
ETA: If you don't mind sharing your opinion on why you're having it or not having it I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

I dont think we will...but then again, I don't think I understand what it is.
Is it colored lights that go all around the room? (Thats what Im envisioning). Or is it spotlights?
I'm confused...

I like the lights. At the JT bridal show they had a raffle and each vendor gave one thing away, I won a complimentary light show from starlight express, which is great since I do want to use them

yeah I think some people misunderstood. It's not lights flashing on and off like in a club, its one they will have a certain color on...hmmmm I'll show an example.

Bentley meeker is the best in the business for light shows, they usually do all the celebrity weddings and big time events.

I would like to have them - I am going to look into this from luminousld but I'm not sure if we can have them b/c I am having a day wedding.

Re: DJ: Light show or no light show?
i like it - especially fo rthe entrance. i got the light show from my DJ and the package from the hall with the mood lighting
we're not doing any lights... to me I think it takes away some of the elegance.(i'm talking about the lights that move all over the place on the dance floor)...there are some dj's who do awesome lighting effects to spruce up the room or focus on your centerpieces... that I think is very nice & elegant.. also it was very expensive when the dj mentioned it to us. I don't think its worth it.... i'd use your money elsewhere. Just my opinion of course.

Our Dj is throwing it in as a no charge so we are going for it.
