DJ Package price - is this unreasonable?

Hi,
OK so LI Sound is who we want for our wedding, hands down. We've seen them at events (most memorably at this last Land's End NYE Party) and love their work. We went to their office, which was a perfect experience from the champagne to the demos. After speaking with Joseph, director of sales, we picked out exactly what we needed for our summer 2010 wedding at Flowerfield:
Ceremony- standard music/microphone setup
Cocktail Hour - steel drum musician
Reception -
-DJ + MC
-Percussionist
- 4 or 5 lights on a 10' truss with plasma in the center
- 2 light towers wrapped in white fabric with color kinetic lighting
- 12 color kinetic lights around the room
BUT THEN...
We went somewhere else that gave us the same package with 2 plasmas (now on top of light towers, not on truss) and 200 favors for $700 less. This is a reputable DJ that did my brothers wedding and little brother's bar mitzvah. I have the contract unsigned in front of me.
Do you think I'll be able to talk LI Sound into matching that price?

It can't hurt to ask. The worst they say is no. You can say something like 'I really like you guys and you are my first choice, but this company has offered me x amount and that's really more within our budget...is there ANYTHING you can do for us?'

I actually sent Joseph an email last night saying exactly that and for him to give me a call to discuss. I am so crossing my fingers.

We are usuing LI Sound as well and wouldnt go with anyone else! they did my brothers weddingn last year and were amazing!! i would just let the know you got this price somewher else and see what they say! even if they do not match the other dj exactly they might be able to take something off!!

i loved li sound too but i felt they were out of my budget. I would def ask..i think they will def lower the price but am not so sure they will match it...there is a pretty big difference in the prices
