Anyone out there looking at DJs? We're putting together our budget, and trying to get a sense of what the price range is for DJs. We don't want anything fancy (no light shows, or whatever). Of course, the prices are hard to find on the web, so if anyone can let me know what I should expect to be paying, that would be great.

It really depends - I have heard people hire Djs for $600, they can go up a lot more than that. Good Luck! Just call around and go on recommendation from the girls on the board.

i paid $850 for my dj to include reception, cocktail, and ceremony. i think that's pretty good. i've seen some people on here who've paid less and i've seen people who have spent way more.

I am spending around 1100 for the reception but i have the lights and party favors and that other 'stuff' - I would advice to just ask around and then try to bargain with the one you like

It all depends on the dj and who you choose. Just a dj without anything fancy and no mc can probably run anywhere from $600-$1,500. It all depends on who you are using. Shop around and get pricing from several first.

Ditto only if I choose cocktail music. Without that and all above Im looking at about 900.
We're paying $1800 for 1 dj, 1 mc. Ceremony, CH and reception music - no fancy lighting or televisions.

Depending on what you want... We're over 2,500 but we're getting ceremony, cocktail hour, two plasma TV's, zap shots, photo montage, handouts, some lights...and we get to keep our zap photos on a CD that can be printed.

IV generation is an LIW vendor. One of the 08 girls just booked them for $750. and if you have your LIW diamond card they give a discount!
