What is a reasonable price for a DJ for 5 hours?

If you dont want a light show or favors , I would say between $7-900
I found that $1,000-$1200 for just the dj and no extras is too much. I have researced over 10 different companies. I have found o great place that will do mine for $795 inclused ceremony , cocktail hour and 5 hour reception. So 7 hours total.

Jam Entertainment is charging me $650 for 5.5 hours. But, this is the only professional DJ that I found that charged this little for just 1 DJ/MC and no giveaways. Other vendors were at least $800. I think with him, he may not be able to guarantee any song (I am already preparing that we might have to give him CDs with not-so-popular songs), and I'm not sure if his equipment is 'state of the art', etc. But he is reputable and professional.

I think about 1,000 is average. I had also heard that Jam Entertainment was the most reasonable.
