DJ Pricing

I was just curious what everyone is spending on their DJ. I am interested in having the DJ/MC with a basic light package and I would also like a percussionist. I have an appt. on Sat and I would like to have some idea as to what I should be spending for something like this on average. TIA!

You should ck with Vinny of High Voltage.... his pricing is very reasonable.

I don't think you should spend over 1200-1400 for a DJ w/ lighting- I believe the percussionist is something different- u should expect to pay about $500 more for that.

I have priced that and it runs from 2500 up.

I am paying around $3000 for plasma's, percussion, dj and mc...

I booked Vinny from High Voltage...his prices are very reasonable and he has excellent reviews.

5 hours of music with dj and mc
intelligent light show
screens (2)
music videos
picture montage
and a precussionist

for $3000. I think it's crazy but it's what fh wanted.

I'm getting the whole package for $3000.
2 Plasma Screens, lights, lots of give aways etc.
All from DJ Serg. He's great. He plays in lots of famiiar Clubs around the city

my DJ doesn't typically do weddings so, I dpn't think my price would help, but we're basically just ahveing music, an MC for key moments only, and lights just for atmosphere, like different color lighting
