DJ pricing

I am about to begin my search for a DJ, but before I started I was hoping I could narrow it down (budget wise.... money is dwindling quicker than I thought it would! :)

For all of you who may have pricing on the basic DJ/MC, cocktail hour and maybe basic lighting package, can you please give me information on the company and pricing if possible. You can either post here or email me at [email protected].

We are using Let Us Entertain You. We are paying $1400 for 5 hours (I do not him for cocktail hour), lightening, bubble machine (instead of smoke machine) and giveaways. I do not have his number with me right now but he is located in Massapequa.

I booked Spin Around Sound well over a year ago, for a basic package - 5 hrs of music, no light show or giveaways, for DJ (owner) plus asst for $1400 and change. The quote we were given was higher but I negiotated down to the price we're paying. I'm sure it's gone up by now though....

I just used the Pros.. who were WONDERFUL for my engagement party.. I used them just for the reception (4 hours) not the cocktail (it was in a dif room) and it cost 295 but I added on the basic lighting and party pac for an additional 125 or something.. it came out to a total of like 420!! great price!

We are using Get In Tune DJs.We saw them at a showcase they were great ,we booked them on the spot.And they are very fair with there pricing.The owners name is glen he is a sweet heart call him hes great to work with.There number is 631-737-0025.Hope i could help

Sensational Sounds for $1200 for 5 1/2 hours (we are using them from ceremony through cocktail and reception).

I just got a quote on Friday from Parties Alive for $1400.

That includes DJ & MC for 5 hours and the cocktail setup to remain in one of the other rooms so that guests can continue to enjoy classical music through-out the night. I believe I also got additional lighting. No give-aways.

I haven't decided if I want to go with them or not.

Anybody familiar with Parties Alive???

i'm using DanceJock, $1250 for ceremony thru reception, no light show, giveaways are extra.

We got really lucky & have a good friend DJ'ing for us. That is what he does professionally. He is charging only $475 for 5 hours. And since he is such a great friend I know that is one thing we won't have to worry about. It will all be just right!!!

We're using LI Sound in Islandia. Their prices are very reasonable. I think its about $1150 for reception with DJ, MC and basic lighting package. (You can negotiate with them also.) Their number is 631-231-9093.
