FH and I have our first DJ meeting tonight, and I was wondering what the average cost was for approximately 5 hrs, with a DJ and MC. No extra stuff. Any info is appreciated!

It really depends on the company...for a basic package like that, I've seen it range from $1000 to $2000 at the places I looked at.

for basic the place we are using is 1100

We are paying $1500 for basic 5 hours with a DJ and MC plus pre-recorded music for the cocktail hour.
