FH and I have our first DJ meeting tonight. I was wondering what all of you think is a reasonable price for a DJ w/ MC--nothing extra for about 5 hours. Thanks!

$2000 is about average, anything less I'd say is a good deal HTH

I was going to say 1700-2100 for a basic 5 hours package, it just depends on who you use.

I wouldn't pay more than $1200-1500 for just the DJ &MC.

mine is $800 for set ups in 3 rooms and 6 hours
but my sister used to be a dancer for his company and hes and old friend...but hes great and has been doing it for like 15 or 20 years

i paid $1,000 for 1.5 hours of cocktail hour music, 30 minutes of ceremony music & 4 hours of reception...
i LOVE my DJ!!!!!!!

If you want all the extras like a Photo Montage, Name Plate on the Dance Floor, Special Lighting and such.....I'm paying $2650
