DJ pricing

How much does an average DJ cost? no light shows or favors or anything super fancy. just DJ and MC.
any recommendations for inexpensive DJs?

For the cocktail hour and 4 hours of dinner (no viennese) you can get a DJ/MC for about $900-1000. They are competitively priced IMO.

I booked with Parties Alive and the pricing was great!!!! A few of my friends booked with them and LOVED THEM!!!!

I'm not sure what the cost of a basic package would be but we got everything - uplighting, 2 plasmas, zap shots, DJ/MC for 6 hours, monogram in lights for $2400 !!!!

It was a great price compared other places we tried!!!!
