I met with my first DJ last night and was a bit surprised at how much zap shots cost. Anyone getting a DJ with zap shots for $2000 or less???

I'm not getting them, but I met with 3 DJ's and I'm pretty sure they were all cheaper than that.

If the zap shots include the montage as well, then I think thats an average deal. To answer your question, it really depends what else the dj was giving you. is it a 2 man team (dj/mc), cocktail hour, lighting?

I was looking for a DJ/MC and zap shots. I was not getting cocktail music as I hope to have it outdoors and am having issue finding out if music can or can not be played outside. I didnt care about the light show but they were 'throwing that in'. They wanted to charge $2300 for that which just seemed high to me, but again it was my first DJ visit.

I have a 5 hour package with a 3 man team, 2 plasmas, and church/recpetion zap hots, for around $1600...DJ High Energy

We were quoted close to 3K with 2 man team, lights, ceremony, Cocktail hour, zap shots, photo montage, 2 plasmas, and custom name in lights...
the quote you got does seem ok.. but it might be a little high. definatly go take a look at other DJs. (FM entertainment in particular) they might quote you lower than 2K but i dont really know...

yup! ours is actually about 1200 and we are having the zap shots....DJ GQ Productions! They work from home and are AMAZING!

ours was more... we got DJ, MC, reg lights, photo montage with 2 50' plasma screens, 1 photographer to take zap photos, 1assistant to print pics for guests, and a steel drummer for cocktail... we paid abt 5000
