DJ problem -- please help

DJ problem -- please help

I told FH that he is responsible for booking limos, a DJ and tuxedos.

Well, he got the name of a DJ through a friend of his brother and the dude was flaky from the start. He wouldn't return phone calls or e-mails but FH insisted that we give him a chance since he was so highly recommended.

Weeeeeeeellllllllllllllll, he finally returned our phone call only to tell us he can't do it. Gave some bs excuse. I was already looking for someone else because I was not about to end up without music at my reception and I had a feeling he was full of it.

So here's my question. I was originally going to book FM ent. but Frank was not available for my date. Does anyone have any feedback about the other dj's in their company? There's Mike, Frankie, Paulie and Henry

I'm also going to call Starlight express.

TIA !!!!!

We booked starlight express. So far, I've been pretty happy with them but haven't had to have much interaction with them. Vinny seems very accomidating.
Sorry you have to go through this now.
Good Luck.

I had a good laugh with the first sentence. You sound like me. I left the limos and tux to my FH and he has done neither. I booked the limo all by myself after 6 months of waiting! His BF had a friend...I called him and he never returned my calls. What a great lead Anyway. my dj is a small company, but I got a great rate. It is Allstar. Fm if you are interested for contact info.

Where are you ordering your dresses from? We're ordering from RK and they told me that ordering in June would be more than enough time to receive them and my wedding is in November.

I wanted Alfred Angelo gowns because they do separates in the color I want (tiffany blue). My sister is seriously top heavy (38 DD) with a size six waist and anything else looks silly on her. I want the tops to be ivory and the bottoms tiffany blue because I think too much of that shade of blue is blinding. We were told 3-4 months delivery was needed with time for alterations. We need to get on this immediately!

I kept telling FH 'I guess we're not having any music at the wedding...'

He didn't get the hint until I started to freak out about it

I booked with FM, and Frank was so professional, that I think the MC's that he works with would be OK. You can meet, and have a private showcase with any of them before you book.
Spin Around Sound was our close runner up. Very nice and professional, just a little pricier than FM.

Mike from FM Entertainment is fantastic!!!!

p.s. The hardest vendors to deal with happen to be limos and tuxes....so for the ladies 'leaving' it in the hands of their FIs....trust me...you'll want to get involved.
