DJ Question - 1 person or 2 person package?

Hi everyone!

My FH and I recently decided on the DJ company that we want to use, and after reading a lot of the reviews, I am rethinking the package! We were originally thinking a two person package, but after reading a lot of reviews, it seems like a lot of brides had a great experience with just the one!

What did you do/are you planning to do for your weddings?

One person who serves as the DJ and MC or a two person package with 1 DJ and 1 MC? And were you happy with your choice?

DJ Question - 1 person or 2 person package? - Long Island Weddings

We are doing one bc we prefer the mc to be less 'in your face.' I'm not a fan of the 'c'mon partay peoplllllle get on the dance floor' type thing. Our friends and family like to party so we didn't think we needed any more encouragement. Our dj totally understood what we meant and suggested just a dj to do the job.

Doing just one as dj- mc. Dj can handle the announcements. I didn't want mc dragging ppl in dance floor or in ur face

When we first started looking for DJ companies we were pricing out the one man DJ/MC package, for us it would have been perfect, since its a smaller wedding and we have a tight budget. But when we found our DJ company it was such a small difference to add a 2nd guy we went for it. Since our cocktail hour and reception are in different buildings, it now comforts me to have that extra person. But I don't think its a requirement to have 2 honestly.

We went with 2, mainly because we saw our DJ company at a showcase and loved their MCs performance. His personality really fit with the vibe we're going for. Our friends like to party, so it won't be hard to get them on the dance floor, but my older family, I'm not sure. This MC I think will DEF get everyone going.
