Hope everyones planning is going well, I have a stupid question about the DJ. Does anyone knows if the lights package that the DJ offers is neccessary for a nightime wedding? The DJ of course says they are but I really don't understand why the DJ has to bring lights. Maybe I'm just dense

Re: DJ Question
I am getting just the basic lighting that is usually included. I didn't get any of the intelligent lighting. I would be turned off by a dj that told me that extra lighting was necessary. That's how they make a lot of their money the extras and that's why some push it.

Re: DJ Question
Lights are usually dim in the reception hall...we are having lights! But I have also been to weddings where there were none. It was a no frills type of DJ. personnaly, I like the frills with the lights, its a party after all!

Re: DJ Question
Thanks for the input, I honestly couldn't remember seeing lights from the DJ the last few times I've been to a wedding. I probably just didn't notice. I guess I'll go with the lights I don't want a 'dim' wedding, thanks girls!

Re: DJ Question
It also depends on the decor at your catering hall. Mine (Westbury Manor) is some what dark so lights for a night wedding would probably be required. I saw a wedding video taken at night and it was hard to see. (Probably cheap video too).
