What do you do when you meet with a DJ? Do they show you a video? Is it extra to have them during the cocktail hour?
We haven't met with any yet, so please post your fav's you met with!
We are looking for a fun person, nothing too fancy like smoke machines or dry ice, just good music and a good personality.

Frank at FM Entertainment has a great personality and best prices I have seen. He gives you a private showcase. And yes, CH is extra...everything is extra with a wedding for cryin out loud!

Long Island Sound – Mike is great – they show you a video and he does a mini showcase for you – how a typical introduction would sound. They go though all the different options & extras – (CH is extra – and as said before – everything with a wedding is extra!!!!!) Answer all you questions. Etc…… Booking our DJ was the least stressful vendor we booked so far……..
Frank from FM Entertainment was great also..

The djs I met with we just talked to them. Some of them were at showcases, where they had videoes of past weddings.

We used In the Mix and we are soooo happy we did. Their $$ are really reasonable and they really work with you to plan your wedding. Having them at the CH was part of the contract we signed but I know it would have been cheaper to not have them at the CH. When you go to meet with them they will talk to you about want you want then tell you the services they provide and then show you a video.

I saw Tommy's Tunes at a wedding showcase and knew that I was going to book them. I met with them when it got closer to my wedding. Frankie reviewed all of the packages and helped me select the best one. It was a couple dollars (about 200) more to have them play at cocktail hour so I opted for that.

I LOVE my DJ!!! I am going with Ideal Entertainment and they are great!! They will quote you right over the phone and Tim is so sweet!!! I booked him 2 days ago and already he has called me twice and sent me a protocal list and a popular songs list and he wrote me an email saying the contracts were in the mail! AWESOME DJ!!! They are great and they won't pressure you to do anything you don't want!!!
