DJ question

DJ question

So FH and I went to a DJ showcase for Bravura last night, and we liked what we saw. Since the room at WM can be dark b/c of the deep colored woods, we want to add uplighting, FH is sold on percussionist, and I would like a live singer for dinner. Cocktail hour will be in 3 rooms if the weather does not work for us so i do not want to spend out money there. no plasmas' or light shows... how much should this run... we have an appt w them the first week in november, but i am scared FH will walk in there and love them and i will have nothing to compare it too...

if you dont mind sharing what are you ladies paying for DJ, and who did you like?

I also loved Bravura but when I heard their prices, I realized I didnt' love them so much anymore. When I went, their base price for just a DJ/MC was $2100 and everything else in the world is extra to add-on. Adds up quick. I ended up using Variety DJ and they were amazing! Dance floor was packed and prices were fair as well. Not the cheapest but def cheaper than Bravura and in the end one of my favorite vendors.

I don't think 2100 is that steep. We're using Genesis and they started at $2500- I think that's about average

We are getting married at WM too - what's the uplighting? LOL so new to this! I may have been to a wedding with uplighting, but maybe didn't notice? Do they dim...

from my impression they are small light panels that go next to the wall and light the wall up. i am getting married in the manor room and figured the dark wood might be door dark at night so we wanted to add lighting to the room. Atleast i am hoping this is what it is.
