DJ questions

hey ladies,

I know some of you have already booked DJ's, so I was hoping that you could help. I have my first DJ appt on Monday with Bravura. What kind of questions should I ask them?

I havent booked a DJ yet. I actually only met with one. But some of the questions you can ask are:
What packages do they offer? What extras they have and the cost..theyll prob. give you a list.

Ask if you can see a DVD of them performing at another wedding (even better if you can see them performing at your RH!)

Ask about who the DJs they employ are..some companies can employ tons of DJs and not really know them too well. Ask how many parties each employ does on average...do their djs freelance or work with aother companies.

1.Do you provide ceremony music?

2.Do you provide Cocktail Hour Music? What kind? Do you offer different packages?

3.Do you honor a Must Play/Do Not Play list?

4.Can we choose multiple entrance songs?

5.How many DJ’s are on staff?

6.Can we choose/meet see DJ & MC live or on video?

7.Are you licensed and insured?

8.Arrival time for set up?

9.How many hours are included? How much for OT?

10.Do you take breaks? How Many? How Long?

11.Number of staff coming? Provide meals?

12.Attire?

13.Do you bring back up equipment?

14.Do we or the hall need to provide anything?

15.Have you performed at my hall before?

16.What happens if the DJ is sick the day of?

17.Is gratuity included? How Much? Who does it cover?

18.Do you have a sample DVD/CD?

19.How much is the deposit?

20.Method of payment?

21.Schedule of Payment?

22.Cancellation policy?

23.Will your staff be drinking alcohol?
