I just got home from meeting with a DJ and was quoted $995 for
4 Hours 2 Man Team (DJ/MC) Basic Light Show
Cocktail Hour Music $100
1 Hour overtime $250
Is this a good price?

I would say it's a really good, fair price. Did you get along okay with the DJ? I don't think I would consider anyone who would go cheaper than that...it's a little lower than what most would charge--mostly between 1200 and 1500.

I never thought about the cocktail hour being included in the 4 hours...thanks, I'll ask about that!

That's definitely a good price because you are getting both a DJ and an MC. Most places charge that for just the DJ.

yea sounds like a great price!! but make sure he is not bootleg... i tend to agree with the idea of 'you get what you pay for'... just make sure you research him and ask for references!! good luck!
