What is the usual price quote for 5 1/2 hours from a dj-no extras, just the one dj who will do ceremony music, cocktail hour & 4 hr. reception?

It depends - it kind of varies by company. I'd say anywhere from $1500-$3000. Some more reasonably-priced companies that a lot of LIW brides have used include: FM Entertainment, High Energy and High Voltage.

We got quotes that ranged from 1500.00 to 2000.00 for ceremony, reception, and cocktail hr. It really varies based on company. I have been told that many dj's will negotiate prices. We haven't gotten that far yet, but i'll let you know when we do.

Off the top of my head I remember Elegancia and FM Entertainment being about $1000 for just the DJ for 5 hours and Alegria was around a little over $1000 for 5 hours but that was with a MC. I know Alegria Deejays gives you a price quote on their website Hope this helps!
