Can anyone give me any advice on finding a DJ? I really hate that whole 'Let's get ready to rumble' mentality. I am looking for someone who can play mix such as Jazz (like Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald etc), Led Zepplin, Alicia Keyes etc. Any recommendations?

Not yet. So far we still trying to figure out if my future BIL's friends will be playing at our wedding (they are all professional musicians)

'Lets get ready to rumble' is exactly how I described a lot of DJ's , I went with absolute entertainment, they will be at a expo at Sunset Harbour on thus. 1/17 starts at 630 if you are close you should check them out.

We certainly did NOT want that kind of DJ either...just someone to play music & make announcements that sounded normal...we LOVED our Dj because he was exactly what we wanted....he also does all his music off a laptop & you can create an on-line playlist...you can read my review of him here....my review
In the Mix located in Mineola are great. Jack was my MC He got everyone on the floor and the prices are very reasonable
The pictures that were taken by the DJ were also great

I used Body Rock and they were great!!! They were great to work with and played the kinds of music that we requested.

I used Harry at In The Mood, he is a very well rounded DJ, he has done and seeen it all. They are a vendor on here.

Sounds like stuff that will be played at our wedding! We're using Starlight Express!

DJ GAZA!!!!
I can't say enough about him. He's one of our fave vendors!
He was a club DJ in the city until he did a wedding as a favor & now he does weddings full time. He is sooooooooo laid back & ALL about the music!
When you meet with him - you get CD's of how he blends music together....it's WONDERFUL! CD 5 has lived in my car since we met him almost 9 months ago!
FM me for info - we just had our final meeting with him on Friday...
He's not all about the show, he is all about the music and mixing and blending things to fit your style..
