Re: DJ searching
Basically I searched 'DJ' on the forum and read as much as I could until my eyes were bugging out. As I was reading, I made a spreadsheet of DJs that stuck out in my mind and various comments other people have posted about them. Once that was done, I narrowed it down to 3-4 people and started calling/e-mailing them for prices.
My next step is to start visiting them!!

Re: DJ searching
I went to WBLIs bridal showcase this weekend and made appointments with two djs. i really dont know what to look for though. I mean I guess I would prefer to see them live. I was hoping to wait until I go to my RHs bridal showcase but that isnt until March and I dont know if that is cutting it close to reswerve something 12 months in advance. Any advice?

Re: DJ searching
i think you are fine booking 12 months in advance... i think the majority of people book 12 months or less in advance.., a lot of vendors have commented that im booking things really early.

Re: DJ searching
Neither do I. My FH works with someone who DJ's and he gave us a lot of pointers on finding someone. Just basically saying the DJ is working for you and should play your music. It is very important that they keep everyone happy. That they get everyone involved and that it is very important to enjoy the night. Obvious points but helpful. :) I have to start looking. Maybe he can give a list of some good DJ's. I will let everyone know if he knows of any good ones.
