DJ showcase

There is an After Hours DJ Showcase tonight out in Plainview ... are things like this worth going to?

Has anyone ever been to one?

DJ showcase - Long Island Weddings

I went to the one in July! After Hours had amazing reviews and are also a preferred vendor of our RH Westbury Manor. We went to the showcase to see them live..it's a great way to check out ther personalities. Each MC talks and does a mock bridal party entrance. We ended up booking wih Brett! :) Him and Phil have the best reviews :)

We picked our DJ then went to one of their showcases to pick an MC. Pesronally I think the showcases are so cheesy & not a true representation of any dj.

I think it is worth it. I went to a showcase where After Hours band and DJs were playing, and I really like them, great energy.

THIS is exactly what i was thinking. honestly i am so cranky and tired and having A DAY at work if you know what i mean that I just am not in the mood.

i like your idea of meeting them and then going to pick the MC!

I went to one and it was really cheesy. But afterwards we got to talk with the djs and mcs and we really liked them all. We booked after hours the next day! The actual 'show' is just a sampling of some things they do. It's def cheesy but they were all so nice and down to earth. We had a tough time deciding which dj to pick. We were able to see who was available on our date and talk to them about our style and what we wanted/didn't want. You also get to see all the extras they provide such as uplighting, photo booth, etc. I say go!

We booked Brett as well. He's going to be our dj and mc. We didn't want an in your face type of mc and really just wanted good music. He totally understood what we meant.

We booked Brett as well. He's going to be our dj and mc. We didn't want an in your face type of mc and really just wanted good music. He totally understood what we meant.

We are having him as our MC and then someone else for DJ..but we explained the exact same type of feel for the wedding to him. He's great.

They are a ton of fun and get to see the equipment and meet them first hand. I have Phil for my MC and 'McLovin' for my DJ. They just did my cousins wedding they are the best and REALLY care about there brides. Phil has a ton of showcases like them on facebook and go to the next one

FH said there is one in a couple of weeks, so we're going to head to that. hopefully we will schedule a meeting with them at their office before, as well.

i got too lazy to go tonight!
