i heard a lot of good things about spinaroundsound from this board, met with tom and really hit it off...i booked him. I also heard alot of good things about tommytunes, but the guy never showed for the appointment...so i never rescheduled.
I just booked Tommy`s Tunes for my wedding in 2003. The staff was extremely freindly and I got to meet with Tommy, the owner, which was great. My appointment was for 8pm, and I got there a half hour early (I thought it would have taken me longer to get there from where I live), and he took us right away and we were there for about an hour and a half. We didn`t feel rushed or anything and he went over every detail. He is also very flexible. Very pleasant to deal with. They were great! For the initial meeting, he drove from eastern LI to my parents house in Howard Beach, Queens. We were never pressured to sign at any point. From the start he understood exactly what we wanted and respected our decisions on what we didn't want. He provided all the music for our ceremony, as well as the cocktail hour & reception. We used Big Hits Entertainment for our 7/6 wedding and my cousin used Invitation to Dance for her 8/11 wedding. Both were fabulous and kept the dance floor filled all night.
We used them at our wedding earlier this year and were very happy with them. Quite a few brides on this board have used them and I have seen many favorable reviews.
My 2 cents...we are using Apple Entertainment. I have said it before here, and I`ll say it again, they are awesome! I have seen them 2 times and my fiance has seen them plenty...they have a lot of energy, are great MC`s, and will rock the house if you want them to! In my opinion, they rival club DJ`s (but that is the style I like). I went to my appt with them today and they said they get the feel of how to do the party by the song that the couple chooses to come out to. And their prices are reasonable (less than $1500). The best thing of all, they aren`t corny like most DJ companies.

We have seen him at other affairs and are glad that he is available for our wedding as well. We are very impressed with his style of MC. We looked at a number of DJ's and nobody offered the level of customization that he provides. He advertizes on this board and I believe the website is musicbymichael.com.
We got married on Aug. 17th, and had Tommy Tunes. Our MC was Joe. I cant say enough about them. They were fabulous. Joe is such a motivating MC. He played everything we wanted, and what we didnt want. He had so many people dancing, and he even dances with your guests!!
He had my grandmother who has Alzheimer's on the dance floor. Good Luck!!!
