It's time to book a DJ. We're looking for steel drums during the outdoor cocktail hour & an awesome (and reasonably priced) DJ for the reception.
I'm debating between Tommy Tunes & Variety Music.
I heard that TT was late to one bride's ceremony (and wasn't able to provide music for the ceremony) & another bride told me that her TT MC spent a good amount of her wedding night outside the venue smoking cigarettes.
My friend used Variety in 2012 with Ray as their MC & paid $3k for 6 hours. It included DJ & MC with Intel & Basic Lights on Lighted Columns, 2 Plasma TVs with zaps & montage, Lit FB, 15+ LEDS, Gobo. They also added in 250 partyprops, free fog
I'd appreciate any information (esp. quotes) from you girls!

Wow, thats crazy. I almost booked with Tommy Tunes because i have heard nothing but great things about them! But, if i would have heard everything that you said i would be a little scared....

I booked TT because my sister had them and it was a great night!
She got married at Lands End and had the steel drum band and her DJ lol and everything was great.
I booked the guitar vocalist for cocktail hour and then the same MC as her wedding and I got my photo booth through them. I'm paying around $3500

We booked with TT. We are not getting an MC and as we are the first wedding are hoping they will be there on time. Good thing is they don't have to travel from another venue to get to us as we are having an early reception.

A girl I worked with use TT for her wedding. She didn't have any issues with them and said she really loved her experience!

I used Tommy's Tunes and they were great! They were right on time and did the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. I had Steven as my DJ and Frank as my MC and they were perfect!

Im using TT cause they had the best performance out of all the showcases i went to. I also felt tommy was very nice and really cool when we were doing the contract. Some of the other Djs i found to be a little slick and try to push things on me i didnt even want. Some were actually pretty rude to me I felt (dunno what that was about).I felt TT has a good reputation. No company is perfect but if you stay on top of whoever you choose and let them know what is important I think you will be ok.

We used TT and they were great, we used Dominick as our DJ/MC and we couldn't have asked for a better playlist. He knew exactly what to play and how to keep the party going, and our percussionist through them was great too. Hope this helps, good luck!

We booked with Tommy Tunes. I have heard nothing but great things. My step sister also used them for her wedding this past October and we had a blast. The mc and dj kept everyone on the dance floor all night. The mc was even dancing with our grandma! I cant wait for our wedding with them!

We attended a wedding back in November and Variety Music was the dj and they were great. We danced all night!
