DJ/Band?

This might be a dumb question but how do you go about finding your dj or band. I know with the bands you can go to showcases, but what about djs? How do you know if they play good music or how the MC is? this is the next thing to knock off our list and we have no clue how to approach this. thanks for the help.

They have showcases too. A lot of times when you call to book them they will do a mock 'show' for you..including entrances , show you music they play and any addons they have...for me it wasnt so much about the music (since you can provide them with a list...)but rather the feeling i got from the company, how they would MC.

we went with a DJ we had seen before so it wasn't too hard. Good luck1
